Send E-Mail to Circle
It should be easy to send an email to a circle,
- either by clicking on a circle and having the option (to or bcc)
- or by entering the circle in the E-Mail address bar.
May be these are two issues. Searching for the keywords "email" and "e-mail" did not provide any existing issues.
This would be a key-feature for our school to use nextcloud-mail as mail-frontend! Circles would function as mailinglists - self-organized - no mail-admin necessary!!!
I Guess this would help many organizations, that have few admin-resources.
So please - see this as a FEATURE REQUEST.
Hi, very interested by this feature here too. I manage a server for an association with various working groups, and it is currently a pain in the ass to get a mailing list software. Whereas this feature could save us all !
Hello, I manage the cloud for a school. I actually wanted to implement class groups via Circles. It's perfect, but not being able to address the teams by email is a tragedy. Email is still the most important communication medium for our teachers. I really hope that it will soon be possible to contact Circles by email. Thank you!
I'm in the same situation as other users here. We are a cohousing of 100 houses and actually I thought this was possible when we installed NextCloud given the publicity Circles got about it being the new way of doing things.
In particular, we create a group for each house and its inhabitants. Inhabitants may move to a different house, so we don't use (house)-groups to share files. We use circles/teams to create working groups and share files within. Chat to circles is also great, but we also need the ability to write emails to a circle/team.
