Errors creating events on first Sunday of any November or on the previous day (Saturday)

Open mrpengy opened this issue 3 years ago • 6 comments

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Calendar App
  2. Click on the Saturday prior to the first Sunday in November of any year -AND/OR-
  3. Click on first Sunday of November in any year

Expected behavior

Events created by clicking on Saturday before first Sunday of November should be from/to Saturday's date.

Clicking on first Sunday of November should create an event on Sunday.

Actual behaviour

Clicking on Saturday (day before first Sunday in any November) brings up an event FROM Saturday's date TO: Friday's date (prior day)

Clicking on Sunday brings up "Event does not exist - It might have been deleted, or there was a typo in a link" in the sidebar.

Editing an existing all-day event and changing date to any first Sunday in November creates an event that shows up on both Saturday and Sunday in the Calendar view.

This happens for all Novembers in all years and might have something to do with Daylight Savings time which ends on that day.

Can’t confirm this, on my installation everything works as expected on these two days.

Could you please mention where you were able to reproduce this?

I have the same issue; I see exactly what is displayed in the screenshot above.

Clicking on Saturday, November 1 creates an event with fields From 11/01/2025 and To 10/31/2025. Clicking on Sunday, November 2 results in an "Event does not exist" error message. I can create an event by clicking on Saturday, November 1, and then changing the dates, though the issue below then appears.

Also, all day events that are scheduled for November 2 (two friends happen to have Nov 2 birthdays) appear on both November 1 and November 2. Clicking on the events in question show nothing out of the ordinary, From and To both display 11/02/2025 as expected, but the events appear on both dates.
