Improve auto-upload settings for WiFi & Charging
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I’ve configured multiple folders cfor auto-upload on my Android phone, and usually I have it is set to “wait until unmetered wifi” and “only while charging”. But sometimes I want to modify this when I’m traveling and don't have access to WiFi & need to upload certain photos to server.
- It is not possible to modify this globally for all folders, but instead I've to set this up per folder.
- Once an upload begins and the files show “waiting for Wifi”, even if I change the setting for that folder to not wait till Wifi, the files which are queued up still wait for Wifi. There needs to be a way to change this for already-queued-up-for-upload files, as that’s the whole point of changing the setting.
Describe the solution you'd like
To allow for global & per folder configuration, new UI options needed:
- An app-wide setting to modify "Wait until unmetered Wifi" and "Only while charging"
- A per-folder configuration on whether it should override global settings or not. If yes, then the usual per-folder options.
To occasionally ignore restriction, add extra menu in auto-upload page:
- Add a menu option in the Upload tab to "Temporarily ignore restrictions for already queued uploads."
Describe alternatives you've considered
There isn't really an alternative. Usually I just cancel the auto-upload and manually upload individual files. But this is cumbersome & difficult to do beyond 1-2 files.
