Northeast Regional dates need clarification
On the Virginia Services timetable posted on RPA, there are a couple issues with the days of the week listed for each train.
The timetable states that train #67 runs (or departs Boston) Mo-Th. That is incorrect — it departs Boston on Sundays as well.
It also states that train #96 runs on Sundays and Mondays. However, that's misleading. According to the history of this train, it appears to run on Sundays except for holidays, when it runs on Mondays. It never operates twice in one weekend.
The timetable probably needs to be updated to clarify this.
Thank you for your report - the Virginia Services timetable needs to be updated but I have been swamped with other tasks recently. Unfortunately Amtrak changes the NEC so frequently that it is difficult to create the most representative timetable. But we can add at footnote on the next update about #96 frequency.
