Request: reStructuredText

Please add rST as an alternative format. Seems like it is more standardized markup language, albeit less popular, especially among all kinds of viewer software. Thank you for your work on this plugin!

It's an interesting idea. You are right. Markdown is standardized, but its popularity also lead to many slightly different incarnations. Whereas the rST spec is pretty solid.

If I can find a good parser I can integrate it. If not, I have to check it out myself, first.
