Merging Many Images

I'm trying to merge 2162 images, and now I have import 145 images and it's running too slow. Hugin's CPFind is taking so much time, and is there any way to tell the program just find control point between several images and other existing groups instead of removing all cp and rerun the CPFind. Or I can manually move images to where they should be and then hand them over to the CPFind and it can detect overlapped images to decide which it find control points between. And the preview with OpenGL, is there any way to accelerate the rendering? My machine is very slow and 145 images takes almost 3 secs to render only once. It's too tough for a 45 USD equivalent computer.
