MACROS Support
First let me say that MissionControl is really a great tool since it eliminates the need of having a 3rd party hardware dongle attached to the Switch, only thing that I miss is wired controller support, other than that it all looks good.
Now to the point, and pardon me if this is out of the scope of MissionControl but I figure I'd ask anyway: can we have some sort of MACRO support implemented into MissionControl ?
I've searched around and only found a bunch of hardware-based solutions to enable Macros and no software-only solution like MissionControl does for bluetooth controllers. Among those hardware solutions there are:
- An accessory for the oficial Nintendo Pro Controller > https://www.play-asia.com/cybercontroller-macro-adapter-for-nintendo-switch/13/70dk4p
- A dongle that has some degree of build-in Macros for some specific games https://www.switch-up.ca/
- A full fledged controller by GuliKit https://www.gulikit.com/productinfo/500631.html
- 2 full fledged controllers by 8BitDo https://www.8bitdo.com/sn30-pro-plus/ & https://www.8bitdo.com/pro2/
I don't know exactly the inner workings of these hardware solutions, from what I can tell some allow you to record your actions for a period of time, save them, and later on automatically repeat all your recorded actions with a push of a button (practically a replay feature for your actions), others appear to allow you to somehow map different buttons to a single one like a traditional macro would do. That all sounds great, speaking for myself I only wish there was a way to attribute a sequence of button smashes to a single specified button, like pressing A will automatically trigger a sequence of button presses like I was also pressing B, X ,Y, etc in that order when in reality I am only pressing the button A. Even better would be if we could have some predefined conditions of which need to be met in order for the macro/sequence to be activated, like a modifier that needs to be pressed at the same time the specified macro key is pressed, so in order to activate a macro that was attributed to lets say the button A I would have to press say the L button at the same time I press the A button.
Do you think that something like this is possible to do?
