64 bit Plugins installed on /usr/lib instead of /usr/lib64

When building AlphaPlot from souce, in a 64 bit system the plugins folder is installed on /usr/lib instead of /usr/lib64. How can this be solved?

you may have to tinker around with qmake file path definitions for the same. I will have a look this week end.
