Av1 CRF being ignored?

Not excactly sure if a bug but if I choose AV1 and set the CRF all up to 50 /veryslow, as a test, I expected to end up with a video of very low size and very low quality ,instead, the video looks with amazing quality equal to h265 CRF 26. Is CRF compression treated different on AV1? or am I doing something wrong

The highest CRF, 50, is still quite watchable. Maybe it's just that good?

Well, turns out SVT's CRF scale goes up to 63. I will update that soon so you can enter values up to that number.
