Reuse temp folder?

Open itsTyrion opened this issue 4 years ago • 3 comments

My drive was close to running out of space after extracting of frames, so I cancelled the operation when it started running RIFE. Now I realized that Flowframes doesn't reuse the temp folder (tested with another video). Everything is still in there: The scene changes, ini files, frames. I don't want to just import it as frames, either, because it won't use the detected scenes. Is there a way to reuse the folder? I'd like to avoid having Flowframes re-extract 250GB when the data is already present.

Hi itsTyrion, yes, there is. In settings>Application, the first entry should be called "Processing Style", where you want to select "Run each step seperately". Now a dropdown menu appears above the "Interpolate!" button and since you already did step 1 (extracting the frames), you can continue with Step 2 (make sure you checked the correct directory) which will run the interpolation. Hope this solves your problem :)

yup, it does. thanks^^

It'd be nice if FlowFrames detected the folder and reused it automatically, though

I would guess it reimports the frames by default in case the program was interrupted or you just happen to have a video with the same filename, but it would be really nice to have it ask you if it finds frames in the folder that it tries to write to before the import starts. @n00mkrad :)
