NodeUI - Autoupdate selection on a startup

Open etherunit opened this issue 5 years ago • 3 comments

Current situation: preconfigured raspberry nodes are updated automatically during the night once there is a new release, however, sometimes it breaks things up until newer version arrives. In my opinion, our providers should be able to decide whether they want the auto-updates feature on or they wish to manually update their nodes.

Expected outcome: During the initial startup, our preconfigured mystberry image runners can select: Auto-updates enabled or disabled.

We definitely do not want that. Its not everything about availability. We need to have as recent network as possible. Users can opt out from auto-updates if they really want, but that is not in their and in our interest at the end. Older versions will stop to be supported and ppl will not get their payouts eventually because of unsupported version.
