Subscribe to developer or branch
Sometimes it would be really nice to have status updates for a particular branch someone else is working on, especially if you are waiting on them. A example would be a branch-breaking bug, or an agreed-upon hand-off point where you're to pick up where they left off. It would be amazing to be able to "subscribe" to a specified developer or branch name, and have all matching local commit notifications tag you in the announce message, or maybe do a direct private message to you with the same contents. You'd want to be able to turn it off, also.
So you're just talking about a simple subscribe feature, right? Just ping me every time this branch is updated?
Pretty much exactly what pgbot currently does, but the ability to get PM'd the same contents at the same time pgbot announces to the channel. Syntax might be pgbot: follow mybuddymichael or pgbot: follow feature-dcs-still-hanging-wtf
