Turning on Playdar from the menubar for the first time doesn't scan

The first thing I did was check the menubar checkbox, then turned on Playdar via the menubar. The toggle in the prefpane slides on, but scan doesn't happen.

Also, even after scan and the toggle enables, the "50 local tracks known" text doesn't show up.

Can fix when playdar knows about directories it follows.
