Add definition on how to handle Reserved Channels

does GDTF account for DMX options other than Mode? If not, how is it ensured that the GDTF profile is correct? Perhaps all options are contained in Modes… so, for example, the Viper would have four Modes instead of two – “16-bit”, “16-bit + Reserved Channels”, “16-bit Ex.” and “16-bit Ex. + Reserved Channels”?

A reserved channel is still consuming DMX channels/footprint, so Mode is a correct way to accommodate this. Or is something else meant, like this https://github.com/mvrdevelopment/spec/issues/38? As for "duplicate" DMX modes, this is something the builder could accommodate better, there have been previous proposals for that ((temporarily/permanently) link channels across DMX modes together and apply edits to all linked channels, to make editing easier.
