Sound Flags addition - Advanced mode (Crossfade)

Open TobyTwo32 opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Your idea

My idea is simple. It is supposed to be an extension of what Sound Flags can do. Sound Flags right now gates the articulations from the libraries. You can select individually and you can select multiple ones to create interesting tones! But what I am about to request is an addition to that.

Advanced mode. This mode would allow for the user to choose the articulations they want and be able to crossfade between them with either multiple selects or single selects from the designated sound library or samples.

What is the final goal here is the dream of every sound designer, to crossfade between pads, ambient textures, plucks, etc.

Problem to be solved

Currently Sound Flags can only choose between single and multiple selections but not the ability to crossfade between them.

You could even UNLINK the chain to not be able to crossfade... but be able to choose that sample anyway, if you're not looking to crossfade.

But crossfades are temporal - they require a period of time to work over?

I see what you mean, but think of it this way, crossfading between 2 samples or more to create a more diverse sound and more options to the sound designer and composer.
