Grace notes don't convert to midi properly

Open MqcCheeze opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Issue type

Import/export issue

Bug description

When playing a passage with grace notes within MuseScore they are played correctly at the correct time and everything. However, exporting these grace notes to MIDI, they do not play as they should do.

The MIDI export image

Appoggiaturas work fine as normal, its only acciaccaturas that do not work. They do not sound the same in MIDI as they do in MuseScore.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Write a passage with acciaccatura grace note.
  2. Export to MIDI
  3. Play MIDI

It was broken in 4.1.0

( MIDI export (4.1 score).zip can be used for test)

Possible quick fix for others facing this issue: export to MusicXML, open in Musescore 3 (or other notation software of choice), fix any errors caused by the export/import, and export from Musescore 3 to MIDI.

The way you described is workaround, not a fix :-)
