Application crashes without error or popup message
Describe the bug
The MTA:SA application crashes and closes instantly without showing any error messages or crash dialog. This happens during gameplay, and there's no clear pattern. It looks like the process just gets terminated
Steps to reproduce
Join a server (it happens on multiple servers).
Play normally for a while.
Suddenly the game closes by itself without warning.
No message, no error report appears.
Version
Multi Theft Auto v1.6-release-23146 Copyright (C) 2003 - 2025 Multi Theft Auto
Additional context
Issue occurs across multiple servers
No specific action triggers it — happens during normal gameplay, away from keyboard, and minimized
Antivirus and overlays were disabled for testing — still occurs.
I tested both older and the latest versions of MTA:SA, and the issue persists across all of them
It appears the game may not be fully compatible with the newer RTX 40XX series GPUs I, along with others, tested the game on three different devices using various RTX 40XX cards, and all of them experienced the same sudden crash

Thanks for your help.
I followed your instructions and ran both DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and sfc /scannow.
Both commands completed successfully and confirmed that there are no issues with the system files.
However, the issue still exists — the game continues to crash randomly without any error or warning. Please let me know if there's anything else I can try or provide to assist further.
This is 99% a problem with drivers or the OS. There are many similar topics online, like this one for example: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/game-crashing-problem-pertaining-to-ntdlldll/1b65744f-a720-4bd5-9c08-6aa7cc4b26f9
I understand that ntdll.dll crashes can often be caused by OS or driver issues.
But in our case, this doesn't seem to be the reason. We've tested the game on multiple different PCs, each with different Windows installations and different GPU models, and the exact same crash still happens on all of them.
We've also ensured that all drivers are fully up to date, and we ran both DISM and sfc /scannow — no problems were found.
The crash only happens with MTA:SA, and no other games or applications are affected on these systems. That strongly suggests the issue might be something related to MTA itself — possibly a compatibility issue with newer hardware or a specific internal function.
Please let us know if there's any way we can help debug this further, as it's clearly not an isolated case.
My users seem to be getting this crash too. I can't replicate it myself. I strongly believe they are related to buildings using custom models but I am not quite sure about that, I have been trying to figure out what's wrong for a few days now.
I have been asking and apparently the crashes come from different OS, different MTA versions.
@M7mmd97 Do you experience this crash #4168 ?
I just made a google forms asking for my users information. Still pretty early to tell but most people that have been crashing just because have also been crashing with that assertion, which I would guess is related to models.

I am not receiving the crash that you mentioned in link
This is probably fixed now.
