@hboutemy, with the release of `cyclonedx-core-java` v9.0.2 that addresses validation failures, things should now be unblocked, allowing support for CycloneDX 1.6 to be added to the maven plugin.

project-level policies are targetted for 5.x. Therefore, this enhancement can also be targetted for 5.x (as it cannot be done in 4.x)

A few observations... 1. I cannot find the reference right now, but it has been mentioned that DT should not be too "USA-centric" . KEV might be managed by CISA...

Changed milestone to v4.12 in order that v4.11 to allow for implementation to be something that caters to KEV and Vulncheck... and other possible data sources as well.

Moving to 4.13 milestone. This is a large piece of work and needs to be done properly... and not hold up the release of all the good stuff that is...
