Link previews sometimes show only after favouriting a post

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Find a toot with a link in it, where the link preview does not show.
2. Favourite the toot

Expected behaviour

The link preview should've been displayed from the start, or should never show.

Actual behaviour

The link preview is shown after clicking "favourite" on the toot
