Restore on another device possible?

Device info

Manufacturer: Samsung Android version: 11 Custom ROM/rooted? Custom ROM (/e/OS) Model: A5

System info

Available disk space: Operating system: Linux Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS

Describe the issue below. Can I use the program to restore the backup on another device with another android OS or android version? Restoring from my Samsung A5 onto an S4 didn´t work. Both with custom ROM /e/OS and android 11.

It should work in most circumstances, in the worst case some apps may not launch if the devices have different CPU architectures for example. How exactly it didn't work?
