Strange error thrown when loading vocabulary for loop detection: Undefined Symbol

I got: Loading vocabularly for loop detection... ./Kintinuous: symbol lookup error: ./Kintinuous: undefined symbol: _ZN2cv11FileStorageC1ERKNSt7__cxx1112basic_stringIcSt11char_traitsIcESaIcEEEiS8_ when running the example. I'm on Ubuntu 16.04 and I've followed the instructions to install it.

Has anyone encountered this problem before or does anyone know how to solve this?
