Receiving Duplicate FxA Emails for Confirming/Confirmed (not 100% repro)

Steps to reproduce

Authenticated via the Get started onboarding, but at the point in which email authentication is required, discover two emails in my inbox, sent at the same time, for confirming. Upon confirming, two confirmation emails are sent as well.

Expected behavior

1 email per action

Actual behavior

2 emails per action
