Duh, just figured out https://github.com/moonlight-stream/moonlight-common-android/issues/23 was archived altogether.

So, to recap: there were some attempts here and there to reverse steam IHS, but nothing extraordinary. To this day there's still no FOSS host solution (the half-backed switch-focused one is now dead)

As a matter of fact anyway, I just found out that another kind of native client exists https://github.com/thestr4ng3r/chiaki
