Weird 2.0 channel audio bug switched to 5.1 by choosing a different audiotrack temporarily

Describe the bug Playing an mkv file with a bunch of translated soundtracks as well as the original 6 channel English (AC3), and if I choose the 6 channel English soundtrack Onkyo shows Dolby D 2.0. If I switch to a translated 6 channel soundtrack, it shows as Dolby D 5.1. Then I switch to 6 channel English, and Onkyo shows Dolby D 5.1 as well! If I pause and restart, the sound stays as 5.1. If I try to rewind a bit while staying on the English soundtrack, it'll revert to 2.0 which I can restore again switching to another soundtrack temporarily.

To Reproduce Need a specific mkv file, perhaps dependent AC3 encoding. Most other mkv files do not have this issue, and get 5.1 sound right away.

Expected behavior I'd expect English AC3 6 channel audio to always show up on Onkyo as 5.1

Device (please complete the following information): The hardware is Fire 4K stick (mantis), old Fire OS version with full passthrough (6.2.7.6), passthrough to TCL Google TV over HDMI, then passthrough to HDMI ARC, old Onkyo 5.1 sound device (HTR-380)

Media If applicable, add a short media sample which triggers the problem.

Additional context Given that 5.1 channels hold when I pause, and revert to 2.0 channels when I rewind I am inclined to think this is a bug for the player, not the other daisy chained devices downstream.

Got the same issue with another file. Please see the media info output attached.

I wonder if putting the desired soundtrack last somehow impacts the passthrough settings ...
