It seems like the method names we are looking for are something like encode and decode. reverseTransform feels weird.

Hey finally coming through the end of my unread email stack ;)

I initially went with that but encoding is a special operation of transforming, and doesn't necessarily fit all transformations. I don't know, take the ObjectArrayMapper is it really encoding? I'm afraid "encoder" would be too restrictive.

I'm not native english so maybe I'm just seeing a difference where there is none?
