OpenUPS Voltage Regulation problem

Open effort10 opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Good Day,

I have configured my OPENUPS with the below parameters.

12V 5A input power 12V LIFEPO4 (8000mah) Battery

When i have the power on i get a voltage of 11.8v, then when i switch off power my volt reading goes from 9v to 13.58v in one second which causes my device to switch off so something is wrong. Does anyone have a working config file of this that i could use.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Im beginning to think that the issue is caused due to a faulty buck/boost converter.

Thank you.

I also experience voltage regulation problem but in OpenUPS2 with LiFePo4 cells - when set via DIP switch to 19V output and there is 12V input sometimes the ups locks in a kind of loop on startup with green led flashing rapidly for a second and half a second pause and flashing again. During this "lockup" the output voltage is below 16V. Sometimes it boots properly when input 12V is disconnected and sometimes I have to remove one or two cells. The problem happens when UPS is disconnected from input voltage for some time. Once it gets reset (by removing cells) it survives short input voltage disconnects (with full power off).
