Microsoft Python Language Server cannot be downloaded in WSL

Environment data

  • Windows 10 with WSL Linux VIV-P2117 4.19.128-microsoft-standard #1 SMP Tue Jun 23 12:58:10 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
  • Python 3.8.5

Actual behaviour

When I open a Python file with Visual Studio Code in a WSL Window, it tries to download Microsoft Python Language Server but it is stuck at the beginning and doesn't go further than the image shows.
