The extension don't recognize my pac installation

I have installed the Power Platform Tools extension via VsCode marketplace but it won't recognize that pac is already installed, and get stuck with the message "Preparing PAC CLI (v1.32.8)..."

Same here, when click on any of the icon the commands are not found. eg.

Error running command pacCLI.authPanel.refresh: command 'pacCLI.authPanel.refresh' not found. This is likely caused by the extension that contributes pacCLI.authPanel.refresh.

Could it have to do with where the pac cli is installed?
