1.1.0-beta28 is the latest beta. It was released 6 days ago.

Your package manager might not realize, though, because of https://github.com/microsoft/node-pty/pull/675

(If you prefer to avoid gyp altogether, you can try @lydell/node-pty, but it hasn’t got all the latest beta features yet, like the built-in conpty.)
