ReFS compression support
Suggested new feature or improvement
It'd be nice if ReFS had support for compression (like NTFS compression)
Scenario
I have ~600Gb of HTML files that compress down to ~300GB on NTFS, but since ReFS lacks compression, it's untenable to have these files on a ReFS drive.

Certainly seems like a fair request, though note that this is how NTFS ended up with a thick layer of Filesystem Filter Drivers (FFDs) stacked atop it for compression, cloud file syncing, quota management, anti-malware, etc., many of which impact performance ... which led us to create DeveloperDrive based on a stripped-down filesystem with far fewer "capabilities" to get in the way ;)
It may, perhaps, be worth exploring the newer and MUCH quicker compression library support that @DHowett-MSFT helped drive into Windows? This may enable you to build a system that compresses the stuff that needs to be compressed but without sacrificing performance in general?
Also copying @crutkas who may have an interest in an ask like this 😜
