[BUG] Search samples, models, APIs should return something when there's no match

Describe the bug Image

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Any view, go to search box
  2. Type in something that's not already in the gallery
  3. No drop down, no recommendations, I thought the app stalled

Expected behavior Perhaps "no match" or some useful string in the drop down with recommended stuff? Do we semantic search?
