Power BI measure format is not applied

The legend in the tree map pictured below looks messy because it doesn't reflect the measure's format (in this case, % with 1 decimal):

The same lack of formatting can be seen in the Data Browser:

As well as in tooltips:

Thanks for filing this. It seems that currently, this format is not provided to a custom visual - see this issue: https://github.com/microsoft/PowerBI-visuals/issues/313

Until then, the guidance is that the custom visual provides this itself. Let me know if you would like to make this feature request.

@danmarshall thanks for these details. While it would be great if they addressed it for all R custom visuals, I'd appreciate if you considered this feature request for the SandDance visual in the meantime.
