CmdPal: Aliases for uninstalled extensions crash

Open devRolige opened this issue 11 months ago • 0 comments

Microsoft PowerToys version

911

Installation method

Microsoft Store

Area(s) with issue?

Command Palette

Steps to reproduce

If you add an extension, create an alias for it, and then delete the extension, the alias information will remain in the settings.json file. If you then try to use that alias in another module, the CmdPal application will crash.

✔️ Expected Behavior

No response

❌ Actual Behavior

Since the extension has been removed, its options disappear from the app settings page, so there's no way to fix this using UI. You can only fix this by manually editing the settings.json file.
