Same here.

PowerToys updated itself today to v0.91 and now Mouse Without Borders seems fundamentally broken. When using the MWB interface within PowerToys itself, I just couldn't seem to get both machines to connect (and I'll admit that the whole Security Key interface is now quite confusing, but that's for another time). So, I switched both machines to use the old interface, and now when the security key is properly entered I just continually get Windows notifications saying "Connected to new machine xxxx"; literally one or more a second. However, the old interface is showing "Handshaking" on one computer, and "Error" on the other computer, and MWB isn't actually working.

I can't find any logs anywhere that show what's going on, so I really can't say what's actually happening.

Note that one machine is Windows 10, and the other machine is Windows 11.

Ok, so my issue seems to now be resolved, although exactly why/how I'm not sure.

Today I updated both machines to the latest PowerToys (0.91.1), then turned MWB back on (I had switched it off to stop the notifications), then used the "Add a firewall rule for Mouse Without Borders" troubleshooting tool on both machines (I'm not sure if I had ever previously done this), which succeeded, then turned off the "Show the original MWB UI" setting and rebooted. Everything now seems to be working again!

The one other thing that was strange, was that a couple of days ago my Windows 10 machine suddenly required pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del on the lock screen, which I had never turned on (perhaps a Windows update turned this on), so I also turned that off in the registry. I doubt that would have had an effect, but you never know.

The Newest version fixes a commonly appearing connection bug. Can you confirm that still happens with the newest version of PowerToys?
