Peek: Option to use it as a default viewer that opens on doubleclicking files of certain type

Open Zhnigo opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

Description of the new feature / enhancement

Absolutely love Peek and how near instant it is. I can see myself using it as a default file viewer for pictures, just opening them normally by double clicking and not even bothering with the KB shortcuts.

Scenario when this would be used?

I can absolutely picture myself using it as a default picture viewer, operated with mouse only.

I totally agree - the possibility to associate PowerToys Peek as the default file viewer for image files would be great! I've found no other tool that starts that quickly and has such an unobtrusive UI! 👏

I came looking for this. Even if you manually set the Peek UI exe as default it doesn't work, nothing happens when you double click a file.

Yep. Looking for the same thing. And can't configure it by hand because the .exe is some webviewer.exe
