Map bottom clipping (due to inaccurate lowest point calculation)

Open HKBSC opened this issue 4 years ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug Map lowest point is calculated incorrectly in certain places which causes the bottom of the map to clip when Local Map Base Height is set to a low value.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Set MapRenderer Location to Lat: 41.8901526997447, Lon: 12.4923438852457 (Colosseum, Rome, Italy)
  2. Set zoom level to 20
  3. Set Local Map Base Height to a value higher than 1 to observe the lowest part of the map being rendered at a lower point than where it should be (compare to the "Base Only" map collider)
  4. Set Local Map Base Height to a small number such as 0.15 or lower to observe the map bottom clipping

Expected behavior Lowest point of the 3D map surface should render at the top of the "Base Only" map collider.

Environment (please complete the following information):

  • Unity version: 2019.4.13f1
  • Maps SDK Package version: 0.11.1

Additional context This issue occurs consistently in places with sunken areas. Some other locations to observe include: (Disney World in Florida in low water features, parts of lower parts of Niagara Falls etc.)
