Push notifications no longer work because their primary domain is blocked (an alternative domain is needed as a fallback)

Recently, fcm cannot connect actively, but the original gms can connect. This project is the Huawei version.

Regarding the reason why fcm push failed, I took a quick look and found that the main domain name mtalk.google.com in China was blacklisted and will be RST. The backup domain name starting with alt (alt1-google.com) is temporarily unaffected. Please add the backup alt domain name in the new version to keep fcm push

This may be related to an existing issue: https://github.com/microg/GmsCore/issues/644

I would greatly appreciate if we could consider implementing a fallback strategy (maybe here)?

It would help improve the microG's reliability.

I apologize, but I was unable to find the official hostnames.

However, I did come across this link: https://firebase.google.com/docs/cloud-messaging/concept-options#messaging-ports-and-your-firewall which might be helpful for reference.

And this blocking is not for microG to solve, try asking the CCP's cyberspace commission or, stop supporting their Huawei.

Independently from the block it still may be useful to use a fallback domain also for possible DNS issues.

That's true though. Google has backup domains from alt1-mtalk.google.com to alt8-mtalk.google.com.

But aside from the domain, the IP addresses of them are getting blocked, too. I guess Chinese citizens really need a VPN for them now.

This can also help for the block: #173
