Nanodroid signature spoofing

Open Wandstick opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

For the signature spoofing thing, you mentioned I can use nanodroid and it will patch my ROM to support that stuff instantly. So I tried it and then 2 more checkboxes appeared in the self heck area for signature spoofing, the first two were checked so I knew my ROM now supports signature spoofing, but I don't think it is activated since the third check box (SYSTEM SPOOFS SIGNATURE) isn't checked, is it possible to add more to the nanodroid section so I can know how to activate signature spoofing. Note: I downloaded a signature spoofing checker and it also said disabled, so I think my ROM now supports signature spoofing but it's not activated somehow? My android is android 10.

Better title: "System spoofs signature" unchecked, even though supporter and has permissions

I'm working on the spoofing on Samsung N910F, stock image, Android 6, TWRP + Magisk 24.2. I used NanoDroid-microG to install APKs. I used NanoDroid-patcher to get spoofing support. I deodexed manually on PC (NanoDroid-patcher was unable to do so, I suspect it requires more RAM than that old phone has).

So microG claims the spoofing is supported, but does not work in practice? Since NanoDroid-patcher was unable to deodex, I suspect it didn't patched the signature properly as well. The question is, which tool can I use to do it properly?

Note: asking here, as the NanoDroid project seem dead. No responses to issues and no commits for a year: https://gitlab.com/Nanolx/NanoDroid/-/issues/?page_after=eyJjcmVhdGVkX2F0IjoiMjAyMS0wNC0yMSAxOToxMDo0NS42NzQ2MTQwMDAgVVRDIiwiaWQiOiI4NTY5MTUyMSJ9&page_before&sort=created_date&state=opened

Found this page: https://github.com/microg/GmsCore/wiki/Signature-Spoofing

Based on that, I tried haystack. It applied all the relevant patches (both sigspoof-hook and sigspoof-core succeeded, I skipped UI patches as without them the spoofing should be always enabled). Result was the same - spoofing supported, permissions ok, but cannot really spoof.

I also tried older version of NanoDroid (NanoDroid-patcher-20.8.20190504.zip, previously I used NanoDroid-patcher-23.1.2.20210117.zip). No change in what microG shows.

I might be wrong with the NanoDroid project being dead though, noone answers the issues but there are some commits this year.
