Method selectAll raises error no "such method 'selectAll' for multiselect widget instance"

Hello, i just updated my jquery Ui library from version 1.8x to 1.10.4 and when i try to call method selectAll it raises the error "no such method 'selectAll' for multiselect widget instance" on firefox debugger. I know the library states explicity it only works along with jquery ui 1.8, but it would be good if it was possible to update jquery and the multiselect still worked.

Any thoughts about this error?
