Zapp/Mediathek when opened on TV: No information for shows (so which season it is)
Installed the latest version from FDroid on my TV (with Android).
It seems that installed on TV the app looks different. It has a few drawbacks:
- there are to less information about a movie/show: I can't see which season it is (example "Another monday")
- I can't open a menu (so for sort channels)
What I didn't undertstand that some of the braodcasterser (SWR) doesn't work on TV but work on phone But in general - a great app! Thanks for that.
Edit: Found that season nr is missed on Web/Phone too. But at least there you can get additional info.

The user interface for Android TV has been drastically simplified so it is still usable with just a tv remote. This means removing some features like channel sorting - but I think it is a good tradeoff in general.
For the season number: Zapp is only able to display, what the mediathekviewweb api has to offer. The season number is not part of topic or title, so - sadly - it is not available to Zapp.
SWR should work on all platforms. I'll look into it - maybe I can figure out the problem :)
SWR not loading has been a bug on Android TV - the sream urls were not fetched from the api correctly. It will be fixed in the next release.
Thanks for this quick response! Yeah, season number is a problem from broadcaster. Sorry for mention that.
I understand the limited handling on TV. Just for brainstormin or give feedback. More info: Maybe there will be once an option to get more info / all available info by long press - or that selecting a movie just shows all information and playback starts with second ok. Just for brainstorming. Channel sort: As a workaround: For some strange reason right after install and opening out of FDroid I could access the menu (attached a wireless mouse to TV). I think channel sort that is the only option needed.
