copy and paste images from clipboard- jpg instead of png

When you paste an image from clipboard, it always stores it as a big PNG file.
This becomes a problem when backing up your keepnote folder at dropbox.

Would it be possible to set it to use jpg images (80 compression) instead of 
png?

It will allow me to store much more images in my keepnote
it will possibly make it faster to load keepnote pages that are heavy on images.

PS: If there is a way to change the source code somehow to use jpg images 
instead of png , please let me know.
