Add brave browser to compat table?
I'm not seeing brave in the table anywhere, would it be worth adding? I hear much hype about it and i use it myself (only on my android phone) to easily toggle javascript on&off and getting rid of those nasty cookie popups and annoying ads - cuz it dose not support extensions like ad blockers
i'm unsure of what % market share Brave have since they hide itself under the same chrome UA string so eg: ga.statcounter shows it as just chrome
Since it just chromium based then maybe it isn't worth adding and you can just look at it as chromium? But then what is the verdict on keeping Edge and Opera in this compat. data then? why not just merge Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave and all other chomium based browser into just Chomium/Blink? it would definitely have some impact on how some tools messure things like browserlist instance by changing things to Chromium/Blink so maybe it isn't a good idea to merge all those browser to chromium, or is it? Maybe it will be OK for things as built in javascript stuff like Math, Number, Date etc that exist in v8 and not web api's such as web bluetooth to use the term chromium. Using the term v8 could make it apply to NodeJS and Deno as well but then it would be harder to put a version on when something support for something...
And for how long will you keeping IE around in the data, time to remove it? I'm sure it has less market share than brave at this point?
+1 to this. I tried just now to map my Brave version to a Chromium and Chrome version and figure out where to look in the browser compatibility table, but it's too confusing.
