Image freezing in SteamVR Home.

I'm having a problem with OpenVR-AdvancedSettings where after several seconds the image in the HMD will freeze. I can still open up the menu screen, but the home screen remains frozen. Sometime it's fixed if I restart SteamVR Home, but I still get a bit of occasional stutter and milliseconds long gray screen that follows me into my applications.

I've tried both 2.5 and 2.4.1 with both the stable and beta versions of SteamVR and the problem persists through all iterations.
