mattbaird/jsonpatch is unfortunately no longer maintained. I recommend checking out herkyl/patchwerk for creating JSON Patch documents.
It's really hard to tell what changed since you chose not to preserve history. The API looks very similar, but you slightly renamed some of the exported types and functions. Why is this better?

That line is supposed to contain actual copyright information otherwise it's not a valid license, it's just a template.
@kevburnsjr I found jsonpatch to only work with some limited JSON objects. I ended up changing a lot, read more https://github.com/herkyl/patchwerk/issues/1
