Search box messes with Exit/Enter insert mode

Steps to repro:

1. Press Ctrl+; to bring focus to the Solution Explorer's search bar
2. Try to use one of the bound keys (for example h, j, k, l)
3. Realize the bound keys cause the explorer to navigate selection instead of inputting into the search bar
4. Press i to disable vim bindings in Solution Explorer
5. Do search as normal
6. When finished hit Esc to re-enable vim bindings
7. vim bindings don't get re-enabled
