Markdown sometimes prevents send

I frequently use the /markdown to communicate with basic highlighting. This mostly works great.

This message, however, was unable to send:

/markdown

> some quote

[warpfork]

any linebreak immediately following /markdown appears to hit it. quote following not actually relevant. any extra text following the /markdown on the same line makes the rest work.
