No Windows docker reference for non-interactive / matlab-batch
There is no reference docker for windows-based image which includes appropriate dependencies for mathworks, simulink, etc.
Some 3rd party mathworks products include windows dependencies. The use-case would be to enable modern CI / other non-interactive mathworks workflows for stacks which includes these windows dependencies.
Hi @richard-harbinger ,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, this feedback will be forwarded to our development team for consideration, and we will evaluate its inclusion in a future release of the offering.
To help us understand the use case and what you have tried, can you tell us more about how you intend to utilize a Windows Docker container? Have you already tried creating a Dockerfile and, if so, did you have any difficulties getting the container working or your use case? This information will be useful for us in developing a product in a future release.
Thanks again for your feedback!
Hello David & Mathworks team,
The intended use-case of the Windows docker container is to perform tasks which rely on 3rd party products working with Matlab / Simulink that have Windows dependencies (specifically code-generation / build / compile packages for embedded software).
I have tried creating a Dockerfile and with much difficulty I was able to get it working up to the point where i have issues with the 3rd party products. A published reference with what windows reference image has necessary dependencies, and particularly a light-as-possible version of what is needed to use mathworks would help greatly and allow improvement of what I have been able to do.
Thanks,
Richard
