overline/underline issue not resolved
https://github.com/mathjax/MathJax/issues/2701 is closed but not resolved in 3.2.0.
\overline and \underline are not visible ...
... on Firefox in Windows 10 v20H2 and v21H1, underline and overline not visible at 90% or 120%; ... on Firefox on Ubuntu 21.10, underline and overline not visible at 80%, 100% (but visible at 110+%)
Just a bystander here. You might want to post a minimal example exhibiting the problem (including screen information as this depends on pixel density). But the problem is ultimately a browser bug that MathJax can, at best, try to work around.
Thank you. \overline{A} will demonstrate the issue. We've tested this on Windows 10, desktops and laptops at various screen resolutions, and it is consistent. We tried changing the underlying CSS to correct it, without success, but we're not experts in that regard.
(Chrome displays the overline or underline at all the magnifications that we tried, on several devices including iPads. So, yes, a browser bug.)
It seems you've confirmed that this is not a bug with MathJax. Consider filing an issue with Firefox.

Update: Mozilla has acknowledged that this is a browser bug. I guess we need to hope they decide to fix it. Feel free to vote for the bug report if it is interfering with your end-users who use Firefox.
I added my use case to the mozilla bug report, but there seems to be limited interest in fixing it. What a pity!
