Thinking about an experience like this but for a JSON REST API

I should like something like termdbms TUI interface for navigating, filtering, updating a table

but the "table" is JSON objects from a RESTful web api.

Is termdbms factored such that I could change the backend to something else entirely? Probably difficult...!

Were there other projects that inspired your termdbms interface, that I can check out instead?

The project page says there are "34 forks" but following that link finds pretty much nothing. :(
