No distinction between public mentions and private messages

There is no indication in the notifications tab to distinguish a public mention from a private message.

This can be confusing for users, the only discreet indication is that you can't boost the private message. But it is confusing in my opinion.

Basically, whenever I'm mentioned in a post that I can't boost, I quickly open Tusky to see whether it's just a follower-only post or a direct message.
